Iowa Insulation, Inc. was recognized with a 2009 Award of Excellence in the Green Building/ LEED $0 - $500,000 Category. The award was presented based on the company’s work on 3M – Knoxville, IA. Criteria for the award included complexity of the project, attractiveness, unusual challenges, innovation, safety, and budget compliance.

Alliant Energy Helps Washington County Hospitals and Clinics go “green”

Washington County Hospital and Clinics is going green. Alliant Energy worked with Iowa Insulation to apply insulation to piping and valve areas in the hospital's boiler room which will help conserve energy and provide savings for years. Alliant Energy presented a rebate check totaling $22,916 to hospital officials at the Washington County Hospital.

Iowa Insulation wins ABC of Iowa’s Outstanding Specialty Award for the USDA BSL-3 Large Animal Facility, Ames, Iowa

Iowa Insulation was the recipient of the 2006 ABC of Iowa Excellence in Construction Awards, Specialty Category for the USDA BSL-3 Ag Large Animal Facility in Ames, Iowa. This 157,000 square foot facility was a $70,000,000.00 project and contains nearly 52,000 square feet of high-security, high-biocontainment lab areas.

Insulation blankets cut hospital energy costs by $23,000

As hot water coursed through the piping system at Grinnell Regional Medical Center (GRMC), it was losing costly heat – which in turn put added pressure on the boilers to keep up with demand. An 81-bed community hospital in Grinnell, GRMC serves an estimated 47,000 residents in a six-county rural area of east-central Iowa.
